The 21 Stages of The Tour of Tours

The Tour of Tours is built from 21 real Tour de France stages, chosen from across the race’s history, from a 1939 epic across the south of France to the final stage of the 2027 Tour itself. Some I’ll ride exactly as the professionals raced them, and a few in reverse. Over three weeks they take me from Nice through Provence, the Pyrenees and the Alps to Paris: 2,936 km and 58,200 metres of climbing. Tap any stage to see the climbs it crosses, its place in Tour history and a few things you might not know about the roads. As I ride each one, I’ll add my own ride report, and the page will show where I am on the road each day. The full story of the original races, the riders and what happened on these roads is for the book.
